The noise from prayers is excessive and can disturb your peace!!! Cleanliness could greatly improve with better room maintenance!!! Elevate the smoking area situation for enhanced guest relaxation!!!

The Balmoral is exceptionally clean and well-ventilated, with excellent air conditioning—important for the humid coastal climate. The food is impressive, offering a high standard akin to a 7-star hotel. The staff is not only friendly but also very helpful. The beachfront location and nearby market add value to the stay.

There were minor maintenance issues.

Excellent service with great breakfast variety

I enjoyed my stay for 4 nights, largely due to the outstanding service, especially from Mngcobi and Gina at the front desk, who were incredibly helpful. The breakfast had a delightful variety, which was a great way to start the day. the room itself felt quite outdated and there were noticeable maintenance issues that could be improved.

Just a good pick for resting at all in Durban with good value. The room was neat and clean, but dated. Avoid weekends if you need peace and quiet.
